Mirka Mora meant so many things to so many people: as an artist, an icon, a learner, a teacher, a survivor and a friend. This online storytelling event celebrates her legacy with stories and memories from those who knew her, and whose lives she touched.

In 2021, we invited contributions from members of the public that spoke to Mirka’s impact – a brief encounter, lasting friendship or admiration from afar. Now, we present the culmination of the #MyMirka project. Like all the best memories make us do, prepare to laugh and cry at personal tales of Mirka Mora’s life-affirming worldview and behaviour.

Hosted by Julia Zemiro, it features stories from Mirka’s son, filmmaker Philippe Mora; restaurateurs Guy and Carlo Grossi; Bloom cosmetics founder Natalie Bloom; Mirka’s granddaughter, gallerist Lily Mora; and many more.
